Hidden Faces – Portraits of Women by Natia Rekhviashvili Mar 11th 2013, 16:49 Natia Rekhviashvili is a freelance photographer from Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2008, she became interested in photography and took a course on documentary photography, in particular. Ever since then, she’s been taking pictures of the life that surrounds her. She writes, “I'm inspired by stories and people around me, old places where you can see history, people, emotions.” She seems especially drawn to female portraits, shown in collections such as ‘Beyond Walls Women‘, ‘Portraits in Nature‘ and ‘Young Ladies in Street‘. The following set of photos is from her series ‘Hidden Face‘, which focuses on women who are turned away from the camera. By showing only the back of each women, the pictures capture a sense of solitude, thoughtfulness and mysterious beauty.
