The name certainly plays a part; the flower becomes a bit less imperial when it’s called by its other name: Wild Carrot. Often seen by the side of the highway, this bit of lace stands out among the usual refuse and greenery. Tall and stately, it may be the only flower that is just as interesting viewed from the under-side. Even dead, Queen Anne’s Lace provides an enchanting image.
