Pretty Flower Bouquets – Shabby Chic Photography by Sylvia Cook May 22nd 2013, 15:36 Sylvia Cook‘s father was a photographer, so she grew up around a studio, chemicals, a darkroom and photo equipment. After college, she started getting into digital photography and eventually began running her own business, specializing in portraits with natural lighting. Although she tends to be oriented towards sharp detail, she’s been experimenting lately with soft textures and layers in Photoshop. This technique works well with her favorite style of design, called ‘shabby chic’, which combines posh decor with a distressed, antique appearance.
